I am interested in knowing how a massage therapist’s salary working in a up-market spa (a day spa or hotel resort spa) is paid. I know that in the UK it is a combination of basic hourly pay, commision on sales and gratuity. I would like to know if it is the same in the USA. I am also aware that some employment in the USA is entirely commision based like a car dealership service advisor but in the UK this job is salary and commision. Thanx.

Depends on who you work for all of the dr’s here pay differently and most of the spas here pay by the hour. And the clients usually give you tips. Hope this helps . [who]

About $100.00 USD per hour or more. Maybe $25 for a 10 or 15 minute massage. [who]
