Suppose someone from Canada comes to the USA on a visa, then the visa expires, and they are caught without a visa, and thus are an illegal alien. What penalties will the USA enforce on such a person once they’re caught?
Can anyone give sources where I can find this information?

Would it be better to incorporate a company in Canada and then incorporate one in the States or does it matter? Would the Canadian be able to move freely in and out of USA to conduct business? Thanks.

Here’s the deal,

My best friend lives in Canada, and we’re both working on trying to get her to move in with me once I get my own place. But while we wait we want to make sure we are fully prepared of whatever obstacles we may encounter during the immigration.

She does want to get a job here, and she does want to become a citizen.

So what exactly would we need to make this happen?

In several areas of technology and innovation, the USA and Japan (and to some extent, Germany and Sweden too) are far ahead than the rest of the world. And we never hear about any technological invention come out of the UK or Australia or Canada or France or China.

How come USA and Japan are far more technologically advanced than the other developed nations in the world?
